TACKLING ALS 7sTOURNAMENT

MARCH 21, 2020

FIFTH ANNUAL

In the spring of 2015, Cindy Coleman, the mother of former Hokie Abbey Coleman, lost her battle to ALS. Abbey was at a team retreat when she heard the news of her mom’s passing and the team rallied around her, standing with her during one of the most difficult times of her life. Since then, we have been looking for ways to continue to support Abbey and many like her and her family. This tournament allows us to bring our rugby family together and Tackle ALS in memory of Cindy Coleman.

Through this event we have raised and donated over $5,000 to the ALS Association through their VA/MD/DC chapter. ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. We would love for you to join our mission to raise awareness and stand in support for all of those affected by this disease.
